Sekolah Global Mandiri is ready for Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) 2025
Cibubur—In the academic year of 2025/2026, Sekolah Global Mandiri is planning to hold Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) to provide a chance to the students in showcasing their English skills. This annual event is always able to attract the enthusiasm of students and parents as students can gain international recognition for their English skills as well as improving their skills and confidence in using English. CEQ also gives students a precious experience to participate in an internationally-standardized test while preparing them for the future English exams.
This year’s CEQ, with Mr. Juni Siantar Simanjuntak as the person in charge, will be held in five different levels: Pre A1 Starters for Primary Y1 dan Y2, A1 Movers for Y2 dan Y3, A2 Flyers for Y5 dan Y6, and A2 Key for English Test (KET) dan B1 Preliminary English Test (PET) for Junior High School level. By participating in CEQ, students will carry out the test which examines reading skills, listening skills, writing skills, and speaking skills. CEQ is administered through several stages; participant registration, upgrading session, CEQ Exams, and CEQ Awarding. Participant registration was carried out from August to the beginning of October 2025, the upgrading session starts in mid-October until the beginning of December 2025, CEQ Exams will be held on December 13th, and CEQ Awarding will be held in the next February/March. This year, more than 50 students from Sekolah Global Mandiri Cibubur are participating in CEQ.
Starting from the third week of October 2025, the participants will join the upgrading session for seven weeks. In this stage, CEQ participants will be having additional lesson with their upgrading teachers. These sessions are carried out comprehensively starting from pre-test, study sessions, and post-test, aiming to get students familiar with the test and to be well-prepared before joining the exams on December 13th.
