On August 20, 2026, students from the Special Needs Center (SNC) of Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta took part in a meaningful Parent Teaching Day as part of the school’s celebration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day. The activity created a special opportunity for students, parents, and teachers to come together in a supportive and joyful learning environment.

The event was designed to provide students with meaningful learning experiences through the active involvement of their parents. By participating directly in the activities, parents became part of the learning process while creating valuable moments of connection with their children. The presence and support of parents added a warm and personal dimension to the celebration.

Throughout the activity, students were encouraged to participate according to their individual abilities and comfort levels. The activities provided opportunities for them to explore, interact, communicate, and express themselves in their own ways. Every form of participation was appreciated as an important part of their learning journey.

The spirit of Independence Day was reflected through activities that emphasized togetherness, appreciation, and participation. Rather than focusing solely on achievement, the celebration highlighted the importance of enjoying the process and creating positive experiences together. This approach allowed students to experience the meaning of celebration in an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Parent Teaching Day also strengthened the relationship between the school and families. Through shared activities, parents gained opportunities to better understand their children’s learning experiences, while teachers and parents could work together to support each student’s development. The collaboration reflected the importance of a strong partnership between home and school.

The joyful interaction among students, parents, and teachers created a memorable atmosphere throughout the event. Simple moments of participation, encouragement, and togetherness became meaningful experiences that reflected the values of care, respect, and inclusivity. The activity demonstrated that every student deserves opportunities to learn, participate, and celebrate in ways that are meaningful to them.

Through Parent Teaching Day, Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta continues to foster an inclusive educational environment where students are encouraged to grow through meaningful experiences and strong community support. As part of the celebration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day, the activity served as a reminder that the spirit of independence can be expressed through unity, inclusion, mutual support, and the commitment to create opportunities for every learner.
