On April 7, 2026, the Special Needs Center (SNC) of Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta organized an Autism Awareness Day as a form of care and support for individuals on the autism spectrum. This activity served as an important opportunity to raise awareness and understanding of autism among the entire school community, while also fostering empathy and inclusivity within the educational environment.

The event was attended by students from various levels, ranging from Primary to Senior High School. The participation of students across different levels reflected a strong sense of unity and the school’s commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of their differences.

The Autism Awareness Day was designed in an interactive and educational way, making it easier for students of all ages to understand. Through this activity, students were encouraged to recognize that every individual is unique. Differences are not barriers to friendship, but strengths that can enrich social experiences and help build strong character.

In addition, this activity also served as a platform to reduce stigma and misconceptions about autism that are still commonly found in society. With proper education, students are expected to become agents of change who spread positive messages about the importance of acceptance and support for individuals with special needs.

The event was carried out with great enthusiasm. Students actively participated in each session, showing curiosity and mutual respect for one another. This reflects the success of the activity in delivering meaningful and impactful messages.

Through this Autism Awareness Day, Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting inclusive education. It is hoped that this activity will have a lasting positive impact, not only within the school environment but also in students’ daily lives as part of a more caring and inclusive society.
