On August 18, 2026, all students of Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta participated in a special Independence Day Ceremony to commemorate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The ceremony was held as a meaningful moment for the entire school community to honor the nation’s independence and reflect on the values of patriotism, unity, and togetherness.

The ceremony brought together students from all levels of Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta, creating a strong sense of unity across the school community. Students participated in the ceremony with discipline, respect, and enthusiasm, demonstrating their appreciation for the historic moment and the significance of Indonesia’s independence.

Throughout the ceremony, the students were reminded of the sacrifices and struggles made by the nation’s heroes in achieving independence. The commemoration encouraged them to appreciate the freedom they experience today and understand that independence carries a responsibility to contribute positively to society and the nation.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to strengthen the values of nationalism and love for Indonesia among the students. Through this moment, they were encouraged to embrace Indonesia’s rich cultural diversity while maintaining a strong spirit of unity, mutual respect, and cooperation.

For the students, the Independence Day Ceremony was more than a formal school activity. It became a valuable learning experience that connected the historical journey of Indonesia with the values they can practice in their daily lives, including discipline, responsibility, respect, perseverance, and care for others.

The atmosphere throughout the ceremony reflected the students’ enthusiasm and pride as part of the Indonesian community. Their participation demonstrated that the spirit of independence can continue to live through the younger generation, not only by remembering the past but also by preparing themselves to build a better future for Indonesia.
Through the commemoration of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day, Sekolah Global Mandiri Jakarta hopes to continue nurturing students who are proud of their nation, respectful of diversity, and committed to making meaningful contributions to society. May the spirit of independence continue to inspire every student to learn, grow, and become a positive part of Indonesia’s future.
