MPLS Level Primary – Orientation Week 2026/2027
Sekolah Global Mandiri Palembang held the Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS), also known as Orientation Week, for Primary Level students from July 13th to 17th, 2026. This five-day programme was designed to help students become familiar with their new school environment, meet their teachers and friends, and begin their learning journey in a friendly, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere.
Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of fun and educational activities designed to build confidence, creativity, independence, friendship, and teamwork. The first day began with introductions, fun singing and games, and colouring activities, helping students feel comfortable and excited as they started their first experience at school.
On the following days, students took part in non-cognitive observation, introductions to teachers and helpers, ice-breaking activities, and fun games. They also learned about classroom and school rules and joined a school tour to become familiar with the school environment and facilities.
The students also enjoyed creative and engaging activities such as Art and Craft, watching movies, free drawing, and an Early Diagnostic Test in Numeracy. These activities provided opportunities for students to learn, express their creativity, and help teachers understand their individual abilities and potential.
The Orientation Week concluded with exercise together, cross country, fun singing and dancing, and a class gathering. The activities were filled with happiness, enthusiasm, and togetherness, creating memorable experiences for all students.
Through this Orientation Week, we hope that all Primary Level students will begin their educational journey with confidence, happiness, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. May this experience become a wonderful first step for students to learn, grow, and develop together at Sekolah Global Mandiri Palembang.
