The Exciting Stage Performances by Sekolah Global Mandiri Palembang Students at the International Education Fair, Palembang Indah Mall
Palembang, Sunday (August 16, 2026) — Palembang Indah Mall (PIM) came alive with a vibrant red-and-white atmosphere on Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2026. As part of the International Education Fair, Sekolah Global Mandiri Palembang presented a series of exciting stage performances featuring students from kindergarten through elementary school. The event took place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. WIB and successfully attracted the attention of visitors gathered around the main stage.
A Spirit of Independence Opens the Stage
Ahead of Indonesia’s Independence Day celebration, students delivered energetic performances inspired by the spirit of the nation’s struggle and patriotism. Some students wore costumes inspired by Indonesian independence fighters and TNI soldiers, complete with green berets, brown berets, and camouflage uniforms. Others appeared cheerfully dressed in red shirts and white skirts while waving small Indonesian flags.
The combination of dance movements and flag formations successfully brought the spirit of the independence struggle to life amid the modern stage setting, featuring a large LED screen displaying the Sekolah Global Mandiri logo.
In addition to dancing, several students performed a short drama depicting the atmosphere of Indonesia’s struggle for independence. Complete with toy replica weapons and a historical background featuring Gedung Sate, the performance received enthusiastic applause and cheers from the young audience.
Little Paskibra and Flag Formations
In another session, a group of female students performed as little Paskibra, wearing neat red-and-white uniforms, themed headbands, and carrying small Indonesian flags. Their synchronized and energetic movements became one of the audience’s favorite moments, especially for parents who enthusiastically captured the performances on their mobile phones.
A Warm Welcome from the Hosts
Two hosts dressed in traditional Indonesian attire, complete with batik fabrics and modern kebaya accessories, guided the event with enthusiasm and cheerful energy. They also invited the students and audience to sing together, including the national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” which was displayed on the large LED screen as a visual accompaniment.
The MCs also introduced Sekolah Global Mandiri’s educational programs to visitors, including its interactive and creative learning approach, through presentations showcasing various student learning activities at school.
Cheerful Themed Performances from Kindergarten Students
Equally adorable, the kindergarten students added to the excitement with a colorful fantasy-themed performance. The stage featured a playful digital background inspired by a magical playground and colorful candy.
The children wore unique pineapple-shaped costumes in bright yellow, complete with green leafy crowns, and danced energetically to cheerful music that brought smiles to the audience.
The spirit of togetherness could also be seen among the young spectators, with many children wearing colorful headbands and accessories while watching the performances from near the stage.
