Educational Field Trip: Public Transportation
Cibubur, April 9, 2026 – Grade 7 students of Global Mandiri Cibubur took part in an educational field trip with the theme “Public Transportation” as part of contextual learning that combines real-life experience with academic lessons. This activity aimed to broaden students’ understanding of public transportation systems while also introducing the important role of soil resources in agriculture.

The trip started with a journey using the KRL Commuter Line from Depok Baru Station to Bogor Station. During the trip, students learned directly about how to use public transportation, including time discipline, rules, and proper behavior in public facilities. After arriving in Bogor, the group continued the journey by taking public minivans (angkot) to the destination.

The visit took place at the Museum of Soil and Agriculture, where students received explanations from the museum guide. They learned about the role of soil in supporting life and agriculture, sustainable soil management, and the connection between agricultural production and its distribution system. This gave students a clearer understanding of how important it is to manage natural resources wisely.

As part of the learning activity, students also completed worksheets related to public transportation and soil and agriculture topics. This activity helped improve their understanding and analytical skills based on what they learned during the visit.
The activities at the museum continued until lunchtime and prayer time together. At around 1:00 PM, all participants returned to school safely and in an orderly manner by bus. This field trip is expected to provide meaningful learning experiences while building students’ independence, discipline, and environmental awareness. Through this activity, Global Mandiri Cibubur reaffirms its commitment to providing holistic, relevant, and experience-based learning to prepare students for future challenges. (FOS)
