MPLS Level Pre-Primary – Academic Year 2026/2027

Sekolah Global Mandiri Palembang held the Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) programme for Pre-Primary students over five days, from Monday, 13 July to Friday, 17 July 2026. The programme was designed as an important first step for students to become familiar with their new school environment, teachers, and friends in a fun, friendly, and joyful atmosphere.
Throughout the five-day programme, students participated in a variety of educational and creative activities tailored to their developmental stages. On Day 1, with the theme “Aku Berani ke Sekolah” (I Am Brave to Go to School), students were encouraged to adapt to the school environment through welcoming activities, independent transition, morning circle, and a classroom tour. These activities aimed to build students’ courage and confidence as they began their new experiences at school.
On Day 2, the theme “Jari Cantik Meronce” (Beautiful Fingers, Beading Activity) encouraged students to explore colours through morning journaling, singing, and a creative beading activity. This activity provided an opportunity for children to develop their creativity and fine motor skills while creating their own simple artwork.
On Day 3, the theme “Istana Warna-Warni” (Colourful Palace) featured exciting activities such as morning stories, playdough, and a gallery of students’ artwork. Through these activities, children were encouraged to express their imagination and creativity while learning to appreciate their own work and the work of their friends.
On Day 4, with the theme “Kereta Angka Melompat” (Jumping Number Train), students explored numbers through physical warm-ups, ice-breaking activities, number games, finger guessing games, and group learning. These activities were designed to make learning fun and engaging while helping students develop their early numeracy skills and social interaction.
The MPLS programme concluded on Day 5 with the theme “Suara Hewan Sahabatku” (Animal Sounds, My Friends). Students enjoyed activities involving animal movements and sounds, as well as an animal sound guessing game. This final day provided a fun learning experience that encouraged children to listen, remember, express themselves, and learn more about animals.
Through this five-day MPLS programme, Pre-Primary students gained a variety of new and meaningful experiences that supported the development of their confidence, independence, creativity, motor skills, communication, and social abilities. Each activity was carefully designed to help children feel comfortable, happy, and excited while being part of the school community.
With the spirit of learning through play and growing together, the MPLS programme is expected to become a positive and memorable beginning for students as they start their educational journey at Sekolah Global Mandiri Palembang.
✨ Be Brave, Be Creative, Be Happy, and Let’s Grow Together! 🌈
