Dare to Speak: Turning Fear into Confidence (Public Speaking Workshop for Grade 10 Students of Senior High Level Sekolah Global Mandiri)
Cibubur, January 14th 2026 – Senior High Level Sekolah Global Mandiri recently held a Public Speaking Workshop titled “Dare to Speak: Turning Fear into Confidence,” bringing together all Grade 10 students in engaging and inspiring learning experience.
The workshop aimed to equip students with essential public speaking skills while also building their self-confidence from an early stage. Public speaking is one of the key skills students need, both in their learning journey and in their future social and professional lives.
Designed as an interactive program, the workshop helped students understand that nervousness and fear of speaking in public are completely natural. More importantly, students learned that these feelings can be managed and transformed into strengths. Through a communicative and supportive approach, they were encouraged to express their ideas and opinions with confidence.
During the sessions, students were introduced to the concepts of Mindset, Matters, and Manners as the fundamental pillars of effective public speaking. They also learned storytelling techniques to create engaging presentations and took part in hands-on practice sessions, focusing on body posture, voice intonation, and clarity in delivering messages. Through the workshop, Grade 10 students of Senior High Level Sekolah Global Mandiri are expected to become more confident when speaking in public and more effective in communicating their ideas. This activity further reinforces the school’s commitment to nurturing a generation that excels not only academically, but also possesses strong communication abilities and essential soft skills to prepare them for the future.
