MPLS 2026 at Global Mandiri Cibubur Junior High School: Building Connections, Strengthening Character, and Fostering Student Relationships
Cibubur, July 2026 – Global Mandiri Cibubur Junior High School successfully conducted its Student Orientation Program (Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah/MPLS) from 13–17 July 2026, involving 273 students from Grades 7, 8, and 9. Throughout the five-day program, MPLS served not only as an introduction to the school environment but also as an opportunity to build meaningful connections between junior and senior students through activities that strengthened togetherness and a sense of belonging.

Creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere was the primary focus of this year’s MPLS. A variety of interactive activities were carefully designed to encourage students to get to know one another, build trust, and establish positive relationships from the very beginning of the academic year. Through these experiences, students were expected to feel that they are an integral part of the Global Mandiri Cibubur family from their very first day at school.
Beyond introducing students to the school’s culture and environment, MPLS also served as an important platform for instilling character values that are central to life at Global Mandiri Cibubur Junior High School. Throughout the program, students were encouraged to practice the values of mutual respect, appreciation, and care as the foundation for building harmonious relationships within the school community.

By nurturing these values, the school aims to create strong bonding among students, enabling them to know one another, collaborate effectively, and build positive relationships from the very beginning of their journey at Global Mandiri Cibubur Junior High School.

To support this objective, the school actively involved the Student Council throughout the MPLS program. Their participation played an essential role in helping new students appreciate diversity, develop effective communication skills, and cultivate mutual respect through meaningful interactions with their senior peers.

According to Mr. Deden Rudaya, Principal of Global Mandiri Cibubur Junior High School, MPLS is much more than an orientation program. It is an opportunity to build positive relationships while shaping students’ character from the very beginning of their educational journey.

“Through MPLS, we aim to build strong connections between junior and senior students, creating a sense of togetherness within our school community. We also instill the values of mutual respect, appreciation, and care so that every student can build harmonious relationships throughout their school life.”
Mr. Deden Rudaya further emphasized that creating a safe and supportive learning environment is one of the primary goals of the program.
“This program is designed to create a safe and comfortable learning environment because students spend nearly one-third of their daily lives at school. A positive school environment encourages students to come to school with enthusiasm, enhances their motivation to learn, and enables them to participate in the learning process with greater confidence, focus, and peace of mind, free from fear or intimidation.”
Through the implementation of MPLS 2026, Global Mandiri Cibubur Junior High School continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing an educational environment that supports not only academic excellence but also character development, empathy, and positive relationships among students. By laying a strong foundation of togetherness from the very beginning, the school hopes that every student will grow into an individual who values diversity, demonstrates empathy, and is ready to learn, grow, and succeed in a safe, welcoming, and inspiring school community. Together, we nurture character, strengthen relationships, and inspire future global citizens. (FOS)
